Fire kills 26 people on Indian train after passengers were trapped inside

About 26 people have lost their lives in a fire outbreak on board an Indian train, after its doors were locked overnight, leaving passengers with no room for escape.

Senator Yerima Divorces 17 yr old Egyptian Wife, Marries 15 Year Old

We all know Senator Ahmed Yerima very well. He’s the senator that married a 14 year old Egyptian girl 3 years ago, and as recently as 5 months ago argued on TV that once her girl has reached puberty she can be married, meaning a girl as young as 11 can be married off. He was also strongly against the deletion of the section of the 1999 constitution which pegged the official marriage age in Nigeria as 18 years, saying it was anti-Islam.                                                                                                         

He’s back in the news again as City People is reporting that the senator has divorced the 17 year old girl he married 3 years ago, Marian, and remarried a girl said to be 15 years old. The new wife is also said to be Egyptian and goes by the name, Fathia.                                                                            

According to the magazine, Yerima and four men, said to be members of the Zamfara State House of Assembly were in Egypt a few weeks ago for the wedding Fathia of a new bride said to be 15 years old. According to the report he divorced his last wife, now mother of one in order to marry a new bride which will keep him withing the max of 4 wives allowed by Islam.

Tottenham have sacked head coach Andre Villas-Boas after less than 18 months in charge following Sunday's 5-0 home defeat by Liverpool.
The Premier League defeat to the Reds appeared to have been the final straw for the White Hart Lane board, coming just three weeks after the 6-0 thumping by Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

A Spurs statement said: "The club can announce that agreement has been reached with head coach, Andre Villas-Boas, for the termination of his services.

"The decision was by mutual consent and in the interests of all parties."

Early candidates which headed the Sky Bet betting to replace Villas-Boas were former England boss Fabio Capello, now in charge of Russia, Spurs' current director of football and Capello's assistant at the Football Association, Franco Baldini, Swansea manager Michael Laudrup and a currently-out-of-work and the former Chelsea caretaker boss Guus Hiddink.

Beyonce's New Album Sells Over 400,000 Copies In One Day

Beyonce's unexpected self-titled album has now sold over 430,000 units in over one day.

Billboard reports that the project, which dropped on iTunes on Thursday (December 12) evening at 9:00 PM PST, sold over 80,000 in three hours.

On Friday, the project sold another 350,000.

Beyonce's album features appearances from Jay Z, Drake, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Frank Ocean, and Blue IVY. Coming in at 14 tracks, the album is accompanied by 17 videos, including one for each song.

Individual tracks will be available for purchase on December 20. In the meantime, the album retails for $15.99.

Beyonce is expected to debut at the #1 spot.

Mandela gets heroic farewell

Nelson Mandela’s state funeral is under way at his ancestral home in Qunu, ending a week of commemorations for South Africa’s first black leader, BBC reports.
Some 4,500 people – including foreign dignitaries – are attending the service, which blends state ceremonial with traditional rituals.
A close friend, Ahmed Kathrada, told the service he had lost an “elder brother” who was with him for many years in prison on Robben Island.
Mr. Mandela died on December 5.

Jay Z tops 2014 Grammy Nominations

LOS ANGELES  - Veteran rapper Jay-Z topped nominees for the 2014 Grammys announced Friday with nine nods, while Taylor Swift and Daft Punk were also among those in the running in major categories.

But Jay-Z other major stars including Justin Timberlake failed to score any nominations in the major categories, which saw a mixture of rap and pop in the running for the top honors at music’s equivalent of the Oscars next month.

In second place with seven nods apiece were California hip hop star Kendrick Lamar and rapper Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, as well as Justin Timberlake and Pharrell Williams, while rapper Drake scored five.

he world, African’s and most especially the south African people’s has  lost one of their greatest son late yesterday night. Human right activist, freedom fight and former south African president Nelson Mandela, dies yesterday at age 95.

Late Nelson Mandela Madiba, was know for his role in the race between white and black people in south African. He was jail for 27 years for his fight against the apartheid in South Africa.

The late Madiba, was love by millions of people around the world. Madiba, is a name given to him by Thembu clan which he he belong to. It means that a sign of endearment and respect. South African president Jacob Zuma, announced the passing out of their great icon and former president with following speech delivery.

“He is now resting. He is now at peace,” Zuma said. “Our nation has lost its greatest son. Our people have lost a father.“

'Fast and Furious' star Paul Walker dies in an auto crash

Paul Walker, the edgy action hero with all-American good looks who became an international star with "The Fast & the Furious" movie franchise, has died in a fiery car collision in Southern California. He was 40 years old.

The sad news was confirmed Saturday night by Walker's camp via the actor's official Twitter account.

A Mozambique Airlines plane carrying 27 passengers and 6 crew members crashed in Namibia today Saturday November 30th, killing all on board, local media reports.

The Brazilian-made Embraer 190 aircraft left Maputo and was heading to Luanda when it crashed in a remote border area near a Namibian national park, Mozambique authorities said. The plane was carrying 10 Mozambicans, 9 Angolans, 5 Portuguese, and one citizen each from France, Brazil and China, plus six crew members, including two pilots, three flight attendants and a maintenance technician, the airline said today. The cause of the crash is yet to be known.

TAYLOR SWIFT AND JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE WIN BIG AT AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS

LOS ANGELES (AFP) – Pop diva Taylor Swift was named Artist of the Year at the American Music Awards (AMA) Sunday, while other big winners included British boy band One Direction and crooner Justin Timberlake.

Swift, who took to the stage in a shiny golden mini-dress, also won favorite country artist and favorite country album for “Red” at the AMAs, which are voted on by the public.

Other highlights included typically idiosyncratic performances by Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus, who wrapped up the three-hour show by singing her hit “Wrecking Ball” with a giant crying kitten.

Katy Perry opened the show on a Japanese theme, emerging demurely from behind a geisha-girl flanked screen in a kimono before launching into her latest hit “Unconditionally.”

Timberlake was the first winner of the show, aired live from the Nokia Theatre in downtown Los Angeles and hosted by Latino rapper Pitbull, taking favorite pop/rock male prize.

He also won best R&B/Soul album and best male R&B/Soul artist.

One Direction, who sang a stripped down version of their song “Story of My Life,” ended the evening with favorite pop/rock group and favorite pop/rock album for “Take Me Home.”

Rihanna took best female R&B/Soul artist, and was also presented with an AMA Icon award by her mother, who she joked used to say she had “an annoying, husky, little man voice.”

The evening took a brief political turn when best rap/hip-hop album went to Macklemore and Ryan Lewis — who used a satellite link speech from Miami to refer to the notorious killing of black Florida teen Trayvon Martin.

“Due to the fact that we are in Florida . . . I want to acknowledge Trayvon Martin and the hundreds and hundreds of kids each year that are dying due to racial profiling and the violence that follows it,” said Macklemore.

But it was left to Cyrus — closely watched ever since her twerking turn at the MTV Video Music Awards — to end the show in suitably twitter-storming style, in a cat-covered bikini and with a giant orange and white kitten singing along behind her.

According to new reports, Angelina Jolie just dropped $19million for a secluded heart shaped Island located in Lake Mahopac, 50-miles away from New York City, which she reportedly plans to present to her partner Brad Pitt on his 50th birthday on December 18th. 

Angelina paid a recent visit to Petra Island where she discovered two sprawling properties designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, who is Brad's favorite architect. She reportedly paid for one of the properties. 

"As soon as Angelina heard the island was on the market she arranged a viewing. She was really impressed. The house is perfect for romantic getaways or as a family retreat," a source told the Daily Mirror U.K. "It's very private and Angelina knows the fact the island is in the shape of a heart will mean so much to him," the source explained.

The 11-acre Island boasts panoramic views, a helicopter pad, the famous Massaro house and a cottage.

Jay Z is said to have bought drinks for a beauty queen amid rumours about his marriage to Beyonce. The rapper spent more than $8,000 on champagne while partying with gorgeous model Claudia Scheelen in Antwerp’s Magic nightclub last month.

Claudia, 27, told the Mirror: “I was with my girlfriends and he sent over a drink to us – he had this huge bottle of Ace of Spades champagne, it must have been six or ten litres.

“He told me ‘I’ve been all over the entire world, but the girls in Antwerp are the prettiest girls.’”Claudia says Jay Z didn’t talk about his wife or one-year-old daughter when they met. “He didn’t mention Beyoncé or Blu once,” she added.
